Epson Stylus – Great quality printing on a budget

The first thing you notice when removing the stylus D92 from its box is that it feels solidly put together which is pleasant surprise and not what we come to expect from budget entry level inkjets. What isn’t a pleasant surprise however is the price of the Epson D92 ink cartridges, Epson have always offer value for money printers but their printer cartridges haven’t followed suit and this is also the case of the printer ink cartridges for the D92. This is a ploy by Epson to try and get you to buy the printer and then your will have to buy their ink and they can make back the profit they lost by selling the printer so cheap. Another little trick they try is bending the true on the spec sheet of a printer, an example of this on the Stylus D92 is the printing speed, the official figure is twenty five pages per minute but in the real world its only cable of a maximum of seven pages per minute because the official figure is quoted in draft mode and printing only a few lines of the per page. In terms of print quality the D92 lives up to its name of a general purpose printer it can print of a wide variety of media including photo paper envelopes transparencies and of course standard office papers. When you consider the price of the D92 its not a bad printer but on the other and there are printers than offer better performance and most importantly better printing speed for just a little bit more money.
